ADAS Calibration
Precision ADAS camera alignment and safety certification.

Professional ADAS Calibration for Modern Vehicles
Most modern vehicles use Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to support features such as lane monitoring, collision warnings, adaptive cruise control, and other driver-safety functions. Many of these systems rely on cameras or sensors positioned around the windshield.
After a windshield replacement, these cameras may need to be recalibrated to ensure they are correctly aligned and operating according to the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications.
At Precision Windshield in Burlington, our technicians provide ADAS calibration for a wide range of vehicle makes and models. We determine the calibration procedure required for your vehicle and help restore the proper operation of its safety systems.

Common ADAS Safety Systems We Calibrate
ADAS calibration may be required for several driver-assistance features that rely on cameras and sensors. Depending on your vehicle, these may include:
1. Forward Collision Alert
Warns the driver when the vehicle detects a potential collision with another vehicle or object ahead.
2. Collision Mitigation
Can provide warnings and, on equipped vehicles, assist with braking when a potential collision is detected.
3. Adaptive Cruise Control
Uses sensors or cameras to help maintain a set speed and following distance from the vehicle ahead.
4. Lane Departure Warning System
Monitors lane position and can alert the driver when the vehicle unintentionally moves out of its lane.
5. Lane Keep Assist
Can provide steering assistance to help guide the vehicle back toward its lane when unintended lane departure is detected.
Types of ADAS Calibration
There are 2 main types of calibration; static calibration and dynamic calibration.
Static ADAS Calibration
Static calibration is performed while the vehicle is stationary. Specialized targets, equipment, or alignment tools are positioned according to the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications to accurately calibrate the applicable camera or sensor
Dynamic Calibration
Dynamic calibration is performed while the vehicle is driven under specific conditions. Diagnostic equipment is used to communicate with the vehicle, and required driving procedures allow the ADAS system to complete its calibration according to the manufacturer’s requirements.
Cost of ADAS Calibration
Cost of ADAS calibration depends on the vehicle and the procedure specified by the manufacturer. Some vehicles require only static or dynamic calibration, while some require both. The cost of the calibration is typically covered under insurance plans that covers windshield replacement.
